Class Guest Speaker- Ceci Dadisman

This past week (3/21-3/23) my Social Media Strategies class had the opportunity to have a guest speaker talk to our class on their career and experience in the social media industry. Ceci is an entrepreneur and former Director of Communication for the Palm Beach Operak, she now works as a self-employed social media advisor for companies who are looking to expand and maximize their social media presence.

Ceci joined our class via Skype and discussed her previous work experiences along with her current job duties. Since one of the focuses of our course is to conduct a social media campaign for a business, Ceci focused her presentation around social media for businesses. Some key points she advised us to focus on were: who is your target demographic and to create a persona for your ideal follower/target audience. Additionally, we discussed how Facebook is the most prevalent of all social media right now therefore it is important that we take advantage of that as a tool to enhance our client's social media presence. Ceci shared that Facebook equals engagement and when we post pictures to our client's accounts we need to add links to those posts in order to increase engagement.

Overall, Ceci's presentation was insightful whether your'e conducting social media for your own business/personal use or running it for a client/business. Since social media has expanded so much over the years it is important to think outside the box when posting content and maintain your follower engagement.
